Transportation in Vienna

Before going anywhere, it is very important to be familiar with the transportation system in Vienna. Anyhow, the transportation system there is very efficient.

From the airport, you can take the City Airport Train (CAT). The train is very clean and it will ferry you to the city center in 16 minutes.

The train is very clean inside.
Another transport option in Vienna is the U-Bahn. You can go anywhere in the city just by taking this train.

Another convenient mode of transport is the Tram. The Tram Lines can be found anywhere in the city and more often it can bring you to your destination very fast.

The moment you are in Vienna, you now know what to take. Happy sojourn!

Hotel Erzherzog Rainer: Experiencing the Past in the Present

Hotel Erzherzog Rainer exists for over a hundred years charming guests to Vienna.

In itself, as reflected in the architecture of its facade, the hotel projects a stately image typical of exquisite European elegance.

In its graceful manner, you will be warmly welcomed for a comfortable stay.

The hotel's location is very accessible from the Metro and its surroundings is nice and safe. The Belvedere Palace is also a walking distance from there.

The buffet breakfast they served was superb in choices and indeed delectable.

Truly, my stay at Hotel Erzherzog Rainer is enjoyable as I got to experience Vienna's past in its exciting present.

Cheese is a usual part of European diet. The hotel provides
variety of cheese for the buffet breakfast.

Vienna's Romantic Allure

Last November 3-8, 2015, I was in Vienna, Austria to attend the Peter Drucker Forum 2015. As a sideline to that event, I had sight-seeing around the city.

When I arrived there, I checked-in first at Hotel Erzherzog Rainer to spend the night. Outside the hotel, you can see this rotunda which commemorates Mozart, the beloved son of Austria and a world renowned composer.

As you walk through the streets of Vienna, you'll see buildings in great architectural designs which are reminiscent of the past but adapted to modern times.

While walking towards Belvedere, I had this picture taken near St. Elisabeth's Catholic Church.

Near the Belvedere, you will see this souvenir shop which claims to be Sharon Stone's Choice.

Here are some magnificent sculptures you can see around the city.

Austrian life is greatly influenced by the Danube River. Across Vienna, you will see the tributary of Danube with those cruising boats amidst the backdrop of alluring city panorama.

There will be more upcoming posts on my tour of Vienna. So watch out!
